The Big German

Dirk Nowitzki just played the best basketball I've seen in far too long.
On 15 attemps from the field, he connected on 12 shots. Yeah, he only took 15 shots.. BUT HE ENDED THE GAME WITH 48 POINTS WITHOUT TAKING A SINGLE THREE POINT SHOT. He had an amazing 24/24 from the FT line and chipped in with 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 BLOCKS. NOBODY ELSE in this LEAGUE wants the championship more than Dirk Nowitzki. He is playing like an ALLSTAR. a SUPERSTAR. a LEGEND. Dirk will definitely go down as one of the all time great power forwards in the league. DO YOUR THING BIG GERMAN! a 7 foot big man with the jumper of a shooting guard. This man does it all. If the Dallas Mavericks keep their foot on the pedal, I can't see them losing another game. I'm very.. VERY happy for him. Serge Ibaka should name his son Dirk!

Whats up with them Fakers

The Lakers just lost 4 straight to the Dallas Mavericks.
Lets just squash all the talk about Kobe Bryant being better than Michael Jordan right now.
Kobe and Michael Jordan alike were both a force to be reckoned with night in and night out... This past week and a half, Kobe Bryant not only looks like a role player, but hes played like a role player. He's made poor decisions offensively, he's become stagnant, and the first-step that was once feared by the league is now guardable by grandpas... such as Jason Kidd.
The Dallas Mavericks showed such great resilience, destroying the Lakers at home and away.
Jason Terry ended the game netting 9 out of 10 threes, and the Lakers rejuvenated what seemed like a lost soul, giving Peja life again. Faker fans are the worst too. The die-hard are always the first to brag about their teams success, and always the first to become extremely defensive and make excuses for their teams flaws. I'm glad you guys got a taste of your own medicine. It's okay.. you tried.

Dumb REFEREE

The Grizzlies are surprising the world right now. They are playing like they have nothing to lose... and its true.. they do have nothing to lose. They got signed off by almost everyone in the world, and the only people that truly believed in them.. were themselves.
Russell Westbrook is an unbelievable athlete and player.. but his shot selection and point guard decisions are making the OKC Thunders suffer. Kevin Durant is playing like a man without a conscience and Westbrook is hindering KD's ability to finish out games with a "W".
I think he has his head clouded with the thought that his good friend Derrick Rose is voted in as MVP with stats similar to his, but Russell, himself, has not one MVP vote.
Zebo.. Zebo.. Zebo. Overweight, slow, hot tempered... ON FIRE. Zach Randolph is playing like a top 5 player in this league. He had 8-9 years of getting shuffled around in the league.. getting traded from teams for having a bad temper.. taking poor shot choices.. and not being a good teammate. Now, he's matured. He's grown. He's FATTER... and hes better. If the Thunder can't stop Zach Randolph.. I can't see them winning this series.
Boston... what the hell are you guys doing. Ray Allen is carrying his own, and throwing the team on his back and trying to carry you guys to victory. We're going to have to see a lot more from the Truth.. and he can't be getting kicked out of the game late in game. I thought the ref's call was a bad one. The ref knew he had one technical already.. and after D wade gave him a elbow shuffle to his chest, the ref's had their opportunity to kick a vital piece of the game out... and they took full advantage of it. I guess you can say it was a smart play by the Heat.. because they took away the Celtics best scorer and left the Celtics running around with their tails between their legs. I don't see the Miami Heat losing this game, because their work on both sides of the floor is proving to be an unstoppable combination.

Get out the way young fella

The New Orleans Hornets proved that they could battle the Goliath known as the Los Angeles Lakers. Coming into the playoffs, everyone had written off the Hornets saying they didn't have the heart, the experience, or the firepower to bring the Lakers to their knees. They had a big win over the Lakers in the first game, and has shown resilience by taking them down again tonight. Behind Chris Paul's triple-double, the Hornets extend their playoff run one more game.
The Pacers stay alive as they upset the Chicago Bulls and put away the broom sticks to avoid a 4 game sweep. Derrick Rose came out of the game with a sprained ankle and is currently in a boot. If the Bulls want to keep their playoff hopes alive, they are going to need the 2010-2011 NBA MVP to remain on the court.

Game 1 of the playoffs complete.

For those of you that say the NBA playoffs don't come close to the excitement of NCAA March Madness... I'd beg to differ. We've had 16 teams battle it out for 48 minutes of exciting basketball this past weekend.
The highlight games were definitely the Chicago/Indiana, Boston/New York, and Denver/OKC. These games were back and forth the entire 48 minutes with players playing on both ends of the floor. Derrick Rose was AMAZING. Dwight Howard was UNBELIEVABLE. Kyle Korvers three was much in the clutch and same with Ray Allens amazing game winning 3 at home vs the Knicks. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook had their way leading the OKC Thunder past the solid Denver Nuggets. The disappointments were the LA Lakers and San Antonio Spurs. Losing games at home to inferior opponents.

FOR THE LOVE OF ELEVATION!!!

At the beginning of the year, I was so skeptical.
I've never really been a fan of Chicago after MJ left. I was 100% sure that Russell Westbrook would have had a more successful year than Derrick Rose. Statistically, they are very similar in nearly every category. The only difference is, D Rose is getting the media to back him up in his sprint for the MVP of the 2010-2011 NBA season. I quickly became a fan of Derrick Rose, not because he's the leader of the Chicago Bulls. Not because he can drop 26 points and 8 assists on a nightly basis. I became a die-hard fan, because he has the killer instinct. He's revolutionizing the game of basketball. As a point guard he is looked to as the facilitator of the team. The quarterback. Yet night in and night out, he throws the entire team on his back, reminiscent of LeBron James in Cleveland, and carries them to victory. Though the Chicago Bulls have a solid team, without Derrick Rose, the anchor, they are nothing but sunk like the Titanic. He has such a calm demeanor, yet he unleashes such a monster on the basketball court. It truly amazes me.
His speed is UNMATCHED.
His elevation is praised by many.
His leadership is arguably the best in the NBA.

Saturday. April 16th, 2011.
NBA Playoffs begin.
Chicago Bulls will host the Indiana Pacers for their first round. I'm planning on seeing Chicago in the Eastern Conference Finals and hopefully push through to the NBA Finals. LEGGGOOOO
